Sayın et al. conducted a study on 19 healthy individuals and measured the choroidal thickness of the participants with EDI-OCT after using a 10-minute ergometer exercise bike. Measurements were performed before, 5 and 15 minutes after the exercise. Choroidal thickness measurements were made from the subfovea and 1000 µm nasal, temporal, superior and inferior to the fovea. Parameters such as retinal thickness, intraocular pressure, ocular perfusion pressure, heart rate, and mean blood pressure were also evaluated. As a result, it was determined that there was a significant increase in ocular perfusion pressure 5 and 15 minutes after the exercise. Central choroidal thickness was measured as 344.00 ± 64.71 μm before exercise, and 370.63 ± 66.87 and 345.31 ± 63.58, 5 and 15 minutes after the exercise, respectively. As a result, it was found that there was a significant increase in choroidal thickness in all areas 5 minutes after the exercise.
